WoW Herbalism Leveling Guide

The Herbalism profession goes hand-in-hand with the Alchemy profession because you can basically use the herbs that you pick during your journey and then turn them into potions. Yes, it’s a gathering profession that allows you to locate and harvest herbs from plant nodes scattered across the game. A plus point is that you can use the herbs in other trade skills, such as Alchemy (as mentioned above) and Inscription for herbalism shadowlands.

How to learn Shadowlands Herbalism?

You can learn the Herbalism profession from the NPC named Selector Au’mar, who can be found in Oribos at the Hall of Shapes. To be more precise, you can head the following coordinates; 38.9 & 38.6. Oribos is a Shadowlands city hub for both factions; Alliance & Horde, and you arrive at the area after you finish up the Shadowlands introduction quests, allowing you to learn new profession recipes before heading out for herbalism shadowlands.

How can I speed up the leveling process?

Since there are no Stirrups or Leather Barding recipes available in the Shadowlands, gathering the herbs will be a lot harder for most of the classes. Also, one of the most annoying scenarios in the World of Warcraft is getting Dazed. Most of the mobs in the game have the ability and chance to daze you when they’re attacking you from behind.

So, if you are of the Tanking specialization, you can switch to that while farming herbs. The reason is that Tanks are immune to daze, so the chances to get dismounted are none. Alternatively, equipping a Comfortable Rider’s Barding will prevent you from being dazed when you are mounted. The Barding must be equipped in your mount equipment slot. When you are mounted, you can’t gather in the traveling form if you are of the Druid class. Other than that, Sky Golem mounts allow you to gather herbs when mounted.

You can choose to enchant your gloves with Enchant Gloves: Shadowlands Gathering, as it increases the gathering speed in the Shadowland zones (it works with Mining and Skinning too). The mentioned enchant brings down the gathering time from 1.5 seconds to 0.5 seconds, and it’s a must-have enchant if you are gathering herbs while mounted. The reason is that mobs can still interrupt your casting, and cause Daze from behind. That’s why you need to focus on gathering the herbs as quickly as possible.

Levels 1 to 150

Alternative Routes: Vigil’s Touch Farming, Marrowroot Farming, and Widowbloom Farming.

There are two routes that you can take for your herb runs in this wow herbalism guide; the first is Bastion Route 1, which is the fastest and the most efficient way to level up your Herbalism Profession. However, there are a few hostile mobs along the path, but the plus point is that even if you’re a low-level character with a bad gear setup, you can use this route for this wow herbalism guide.

The other route isn’t much worse than the first one for this herbalism leveling guide, but you do have to keep an eye out on your HP as you jump down the cliffs at the redlines (shown in the picture). Because if you aren’t at your full HP, then you may end up being dead. A good recommendation is to use Seraph Tenders if you don’t have the ability to self-heal yourself, or a way to prevent the damage dealt from falling down. This HP regen food is enough to keep you at your maximum health throughout your herb runs for this herbalism leveling guide.
